We are pleased to announce that the WPML team have introduced an Add-On for WPML that allows you to translate Gravity Forms.
A common issue with web sites catering to international users is how to handle multiple languages and translations. Luckily for WordPress users there is a great solution in the form of the WPML plugin and Gravity Forms Multilingual.
What this means is instead of creating multiple forms to accommodate multiple languages, you can now create one form and use WPML to translate it into multiple languages. This simplifies the form management process and removes the

Great news Carl, I was just proposing an upgraded 5 language site to a client and I love Gravity Forms.
This is definitely good news for many. However, I wonder if this will be the only option for translating Gravity Forms hereafter. I have just purchased a personal license for Gravity Forms and am going to use it on a website where all contents are in Norwegian. I have not found any reason to purchase any WPML lincnse - so far. When exploring the admin settings of Gravity Forms, I notice that the Norwegian (nb_NO) translation is far from perfect, and that it lacks quite a bit. I therefore wonder if it is possible to obtain a po file to build on the work that already have been done and modify where necessary, as well as an updated pot file - so that I can bring the nb_NO translation of this magnificent product up to a level where it should be. 🙂
The language files that come with Gravity Forms, including the Norwegian language file, were supplied to us by users. We include them as a courtesy, we don't have official translations. Unfortunately I don't have the PO file for the NO translation. The original POT file for Gravity Forms is located in the gravityforms/languages folder. That can be used to create an original translation. We'd be glad to replace the existing one if you wanted to supply us an updated Norwegian translation file. Translations is one area we are planning on expanding in the future, we'd like to introduce a language pack with official translations that we provide support for down the road.
Thank you for your quick response, Carl.
I have begun translating. 🙂
